Loan Officer (Ludington Branch)
Job Summary: To develop business contacts, attracting mortgage customers; completing mortgage loan processing and closing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Meet with applicants to obtain information for loan applications and to answer questions about the process.
- Approve loans within specified limits and refer loan applications outside those limits to management for approval.
- Originate in-house and secondary market loans for qualified applicants
- Analyze applicants’ financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine credit worthiness.
- Stay abreast of new types of loans and other financial services and products in order to better serve the customers’ needs.
- Collection of delinquent loans
- Project a positive image for the bank through community involvement and protect bank’s image by keeping mortgage loan information confidential.

Loan Processor I (Ludington Branch)
Job Summary: This position is an entry level loan processor support role responsible for the creation and processing of accurate and compliant loan documentation following Farmers & Merchants Bank & Trust policies and procedures and industry best practices; escalates more advanced loan transactions to advanced staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Processes loan documentation following FMBT’s Loan Policy, operating procedures, and industry best practices.
- Assist Loan Department personnel with operational support related to compliance, policy, and related requirements.
- Reviews loan requests for completeness and data accuracy to complete loan documentation.
- Reviews loan requests for completeness and data accuracy to complete loan documentation.
- Scan documents to Document Imaging System.
- Servicing of loans, which may include posting payments, calculating interest, or updating tickler systems.
- Assisting bank customers.

Floating Teller
Job Summary: To operate a teller station that includes an assigned cash drawer and coin locker. This includes the ability to perform a variety of banking transactions, cross sell bank products, provide exemplary customer service, refer customers to the appropriate area(s) when needed, follow bank policies and procedures, protect bank assets, balance cash drawer daily, and maintain accurate records.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Customer Relations – Greeting customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Provide accurate and timely customer service.
- Perform customer banking transactions and cross-selling Bank products.
- Receive checks and cash for deposit to savings, checking accounts or loan payments. Verifies deposit amounts, examines checks for endorsement and negotiability.
- Cashes checks and pays money from savings and checking account upon verification of signatures and customer account balances. Inspects all checks, bonds, money orders, savings withdrawals to determine their negotiability.
- Balancing cash drawer daily.
- Assist in maintaining security through a) verification of identification of customers and documents b) complying with all Federal, State and Bank procedures and guidelines c) safekeeping of Bank assets.
- Keep informed of new and current Bank products and services and other information (bank hours, facility issues) of interest to customers.
- Stay current on applicable banking regulations and security procedures and practices to prevent fraud or other bank losses and to comply with regulatory requirements.
- Answer customer inquiries and provide information in accordance with bank policies.
- Hear, Act and Own/Resolve bank product or service concerns to ensure customer(s) satisfaction: consulting with bank partners, supervisor, or leadership team when necessary.
- Responding to inquiries, providing product or service information and ensuring that customers receive the best possible service.
- Performing other duties as assigned or requested.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has no people supervisory responsibilities. Oversee procedure updates/compliance that may be required.
